Gu Zhuang Evolution

The inheritance and evolution of Li Ji GuZhuang can be traced back to the 26th year of Guangxu in the Qing Dynasty (1900), which was founded by Li Wenxiang, a native of Jinggu Street. With the experience and funds accumulated on the ancient Tea Horse Road, Li Wenxiang founded a tea making workshop, Li Ji GuZhuang, in his hometown of Jinggu Town, and innovated the ball tea making process into moonmoon-shaped tuote tea (Tuo tea), which laid the foundation for the production process of large-leaved Puer tea in Yunnan.
Li Ji GuZhuang developed rapidly in the hands of the second generation successor Li Xuexiu, becoming a best-selling side tea, export tea and domestic tea, especially popular among ethnic minorities. However, by the time of the third generation successor Li Fa, due to the influence of the "unified purchase and marketing" period, the private workshop was abolished, and the tea making skills of Li Ji GuZhuang could only be secret and not revealed to the world.
Decades later, a figure named Li Ming appeared in the fourth generation of Li Wenxiang's grandson. Li Ming has been working hard since his youth. In 2005, he returned to Xiaojinggu and invested tens of millions to build a tea factory with architectural features of Ming and Qing Dynasties. As the fourth generation successor of Li's Tea industry, he is determined to uphold the tea making technology of his ancestors and carry forward the legacy of Li's tea industry. Li Ming not only retained the traditional tea making process, but also injected modern health and ecological standards, and set a production program of "three for", "four strict" and "five guarantees", laying a solid foundation for Li Ji GuZhuang to continue its glory a hundred years ago.
The raw materials of Li Ji GuZhuang are all from the Wuliangshan large-leaved old-tree sun green tea in Jinggu Township, Jinggu County, which is 1860 meters above sea level. This kind of tea has good quality, and the components of tea polyphenols and catechins are higher than those of ordinary medium-leaved tea. In terms of health standards, Li Ji GuZhuang has also made many pioneering efforts, such as requiring tea farmers to dry tea from the ground, uniform distribution of tea bags and fried tea iron POTS, greatly improving the quality of tea.
Today, Li Ji GuZhuang has become a Pu-erh tea brand with a hundred years of history, its inheritance and evolution not only reflects the profound heritage of Chinese tea culture, but also shows the innovative spirit and quality pursuit of modern tea industry development.
